The Environmental Law Research Society (ELRS) is an independent, non-profit organisation based in New Delhi. ELRS is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. ELRS was established with the primary objective of conducting law and policy research on various aspects of environmental laws and policies in India. |

ELRS carries out academic and policy oriented research and advocacy work on law and policy issues relating to environment and natural resources. The underlying objective is to promote wide dissemination of knowledge among stakeholders so as to work towards conservation and sustainable use of the environment and natural resources. |

ELRS conduct projects, consultancy, capacity building and teaching on a range of issues in the field of environmental law and policy. A number of such activities have been undertaken in the last several years. |
